Click on a Render Material column cell to open a Render Material list box. When a material is selected in the list box, the material displays in the Material preview window located at the top of the Family/Part Editor. Material definitions also display in the Material preview window when a part is selected.

To complete the assignment of a render material to a part definition, click (Commit Changes) in the Family/Part Editor toolbar.
